Wedding night in our RV

You're probably thinking, what in the hell, these people spend the night in their RV for their wedding night? yes. So we actually were on the hunt for an RV for a little over a year during covid and our wedding night was our self made deadline. My husband and I love to travel and so it was inevitable that we would eventually get some kind of camper. We spoke about getting a hotel room for the wedding night and a drive away car because the venue was about 2 hours from our home. Which also meant one of us had to stay sober so we could get to the final destination.

We like to party way too much. On the greatest day of our lives, you best belive we are going to party hard with no regrets!

So with that being said, we wanted to add a couple touches to make the camper B + L style. we only had a couple months with our camper before we got married. We comprised a list of things we absolutely wanted done before we get married. These were:

Paint the wall paper

couch and table cushion covers

cover the counters and table

stick on backsplash

Now to the weekend of the wedding with the RV. A little back story. I'm from the town we decided to get married in. We drove down the friday before the wedding and my husband dropped me off at my dads house. My husband then drove to the venue to park and level out the RV in the location the owners wanted. One of the groomsmen picked him up and they went and did groomsmen things. My bridesmaids stayed at my dads house so that was my transportation to and from the venue for the rehearsal and wedding morning.

My husband and the groomsmen arrived later to the venue than myself and bridesmaids on the morning of the wedding. They pre-gamed and got dressed in the camper together and hung out until the time they needed to get ready to walk down the aisle. This was great because everyone was at the venue but no one was close enough to see me considering we were not doing a first look.

After the big night, branson and I walked back to our camper where we planned to exchange our wedding gifts for each other. I'm not sure when but some bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents decorated the camper inside and out with just married decorations. I didnt seen any of them until the celebration was over and I walked in to the camper filled with decorations. It was just super sweet extra surprise just when i thought the day was over. It was such a good feeling walking into our "home on wheels" after being on such a happiness high for what felt like a week. Going to sleep in our own bed, pillows and sheets is the most comforting feeling.

Tips if you want to sleep in your camper on your wedding night.

1) Snacks

So if you're the couple getting married, no matter how hard you try, you wont eat enough. The night is so stimulating its going to be hard. At 4:00 am after our wedding I was absolutely starving. So hungry I could not go back to sleep. So I got up and ate granola bars and chips and things. I so badly wanted actual food. If you are able, have someone make yourself and spouse a "midnight snack" plate from the wedding and put in your fridge just in case this happens. Which leads me into my second tip

2) leave room in the fridge-- or bring big coolers

There is no need to stock your fridge like your going on a camping trip. You will want space for your "midnight snack" and leftover food and cake from your wedding. You paid for it! bring it home! We had burrito bowls and donuts at our wedding so that was awesome having to eat on that a couple days after. We were able to fit almost everything in our fridge and big yeti cooler.

3) coffee

Whether you're addicted to coffee or have a hangover or both. Make sure you have a coffee maker to start your morning as Mr. and Mrs. Nothing more comforting than drinking coffee in our bed the morning after the wedding, talking and recapping.

We loved every bit of our experience and it fit us and our lifestyle perfectly. If you are interested in our RV little before video go to my youtube channel and check that out.

Cheers,

B+L
